YEREVAN. – Trade between Armenia and Russia has registered a certain decline as compared with last year, Russia’s trade representative in Armenia Andrey Babko told reporters on Wednesday.

The growth rate has declined to 14.9 percent from 24 percent, but the trade turnover is still higher than five years ago and reached around 1.6 billion from January to October, he said.

Thus, Russia retains first place in the list of Armenia’s export and import trade partners.

Russia is mainly exporting agricultural raw materials, minerals, machines and equipment, while the export of gemstone and metals has reduced. Armenia is exporting food stuff, chemicals and mineral raw materials.
