YEREVAN. – During the election campaign the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) managed to become one of the main political forces in this “imposed white and black environment”, RPA deputy chairman Armen Ashotyan told reporters on Thursday.

Ashotyan said they managed to convey their messages despite numerous obstacles during the election campaign, including unequal conditions for installing their political ads, misuse of power by the authorities, Central Electoral Commission’s neglect of the complaints filed by the party and pressure on RPA candidates.

“We managed to convey our message to thousands of the concerned citizens. Majority of these citizens are not visible to you, as there is an atmosphere of hatred and fear in the country, intolerance and political hatred, which, unfortunately, is guided personally by Nikol Pashinyan. If the campaign were longer, we could have seen that the movement of those being concerned could have turned into a serious political phenomenon,” he added.
