YEREVAN.— The scandal over the leaked wiretapped recording deprived the authorities of their notion that there is no corruption and judges are independent in Armenia – the speculations that they have been using for the last several months, deputy chairman of the former Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan told reporters.

The leaked recording clearly showed that the heads of special services convey PM’s political decision to the judges, said Ashotyan who is also running for the seat in the parliament.

“The political decisions stemming from PM’s personal interests and views turn into judgements. Meanwhile, it is banned to speak about such awful justice system,” he added.
