YEREVAN. – The Armenian government permitted the imports of cars with a right-hand steering wheel until March 1 next year if they are changed to left-hand drive vehicles.

The vehicles have to be re-equipped during a year, deputy transport minister Bagrat Badalyan said during the Cabinet’s meeting on Thursday.

The importers present at the checkpoint on Georgia’s border, where numerous right-hand drive vehicles are stuck, promised not to bring such cars any more, he added.
