YEREVAN. – It is clear that the Government of Armenia is going toward optimalization, and the number of ministries will be reduced. But as to when this will be carried out, depends on how often the respective draft will be discussed during this period.

Lilit Makunts, former Acting Minister of Culture and now an MP from the majority “My Step” Faction at the National Assembly (NA), told about the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, she noted that virtually everything was clear with respect to the candidacies for chairpersons of the NA standing committees.

“There is a need for a few [relevant] adjustments, agreements,” Makunts added. “[But] the number of the committees may be subject to change; all that will become known on January 14, at the first sitting of the [new] National Assembly.”
