Pressures on courts regarding Robert Kocharyan’s case are more than of in cases of other officials passing with the same case, Kocharyan’s attorney Hayk Alumyan told the reporters today, asked why only their defendant is kept under arrest.

“Arrest must be applied only if necessary grounds exist for it. I believe that in other cases the courts were objective and I wish them to be objective in this case too. We understand that there is a bigger pressure in case of Kocharyan and there is a clear order to keep Mr Kocharyan under arrest,” Alumyan said.

Asked whose order it is, Alumyan said, “I think it is the order of the current executive power.”
