Two people were killed and four others injured in a major road accident Tuesday, in Armavir province of Armenia.

At 1:28am, the 911 emergency hotline received a report that a road accident had occurred on the Armavir-Sardarapat motorway, there were affected, and rescuers were needed.

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that a car had gone off road, turned over, and ended up in a field.

One passenger had died on the spot, while four passengers and the driver were taken to Armavir town hospital where, however, another passenger died.

At around 3:20am, the driver was transferred to a capital city Yerevan hospital where doctors said he was in moderate condition, and two passengers were transferred to another Yerevan hospital where doctors said one of them was in critical condition, whereas the other—in moderate condition.
