On 14 March, members of the Standing Committee on State-Legal Affairs of the National Assembly had a meeting with Co-Rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee for Armenia Yuliia Lyovochkina and Andrej Šircelj, Secretary of the PACE Monitoring Committee Alexis Salanson and Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan Natalia Vutova, reports NEWS.am.

The participants of the meeting discussed the anti-corruption reforms being implemented in Armenia and the issues on adoption of the new Criminal Code. Chairman of the Standing Committee on State-Legal Affairs and Deputy of the ruling My Step faction Vladimir Vardanyan said these issues are on the Armenian parliament’s agenda and are considered important. “The Armenian parliament is particularly developing an appropriate legal base for the fight against corruption,” Vardanyan clarified.
