The Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly has addressed the Government of the Republic of Armenia with an interpellation regarding the government’s job cuts. This is what head of the faction Edmon Marukyan wrote on his Facebook page.

He particularly set aside the following points:

“What is the government’s vision for the changes being made within the composition of the government?

Which Project Implementation Units and State Non-Commercial Organizations will be cut?

What is the principle for the reductions of staff lists and layoffs of employees and is the government ready to face the issue of unemployment of the laid off specialists?

What principle will guide the government to measure the effectiveness of the work of laid off employees and employees who remain in the same place?

Finally, to what extent will the salaries, benefits and/or pensions of public servants increase at the expense of the exempt funds?

The response to the interpellation will be discussed during the plenary session of the National Assembly.”
