China hopes for a successful outcome of trade and economic talks with the US, said Chinese Premier of the State Council, Li Keqiang.

According to him, China hopes for a positive outcome of the consultations and the achievement of results that will be beneficial to both China and the US, TASS reported.

The US and China maintain stable relations with each other, and this trend should continue, the premier hoped.

Beijing and Washington have a solid potential for successful joint development accumulated over 40 years of maintaining official contacts, he said adding that the Chinese government does not intend to tighten trade policy towards the EU because of the current trade and economic war with the US.

China and the EU are the largest trading partners for each other, he said adding that over the years of our relations, the countries have gained experience in resolving any controversial issues.
