President Trump asserted Friday that a transcript of former FBI agent Peter Strzok's closed-door testimony last year was "devastating" for the FBI and Department of Justice, arguing that the transcript proved that his campaign was under investigation as early as 2015, The Hill reported.

In a tweet that follows coverage of the transcript's release by Rep. Doug Collins (Ga.), the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, the president quipped that he hoped Robert Mueller's upcoming report on Russian interference during the 2016 election would cover actions taken by the Justice Department and Strzok specifically.

“'New evidence that the Obama era team of the FBI, DOJ & CIA were working together to Spy on (and take out) President Trump, all the way back in 2015.' A transcript of Peter Strzok’s testimony is devastating. Hopefully the Mueller Report will be covering this," the president tweeted.
