I can’t answer that question yet because the Ministry of Diaspora is undergoing reforms. This is what Acting Diaspora Minister on Office of High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs said during the March 20 session of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Affairs of the National Assembly, responding to the question of deputies on whether Syrian-Armenians are participating in the programs being carried out within the scope of his ministry or not.

According to him, the issue has to be considered within the scope of the Office of the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. Babken DerGrigorian also explained that the Office of the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs won’t have functions for implementation of the programs and that this is the reason why it will be necessary to find a ministry that will be able to carry out the particular programs.
