YEREVAN. – At Thursday’s Cabinet session of the Government of Armenia, Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan informed that the relevant deadline after the adoption of the law on right-hand drive vehicles was over, and therefore the government needed to make appropriate decisions so that these vehicles could be imported into the country.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, however, disagreed. He noted that right before discussing this matter, it was found out that a problem had arisen due to a hasty decision that was made earlier, and which had led to a delay in the payment of 260 people’s salaries for at least three months.

“Do a committee meeting!” Pashinyan added. “If there is a need, call a special government meeting and discuss those urgent matters.

“And I say again: there is no need to bring some things, to put [them] on the agenda at the last minute.”
