Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan on Friday received a delegation led by Peter Eriksson, the Minister for International Development Cooperation at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

In particular, Avinyan underscored Sweden’s assistance in the implementation of reforms in Armenia. Also, he noted that productive cooperation has been established with Sweden, especially within the framework of the Eastern Partnership of the European Union.

Eriksson, in turn, said considerable positive changes have taken place in Armenia, and they wish to contribute to the strengthening of democracy in the country. Furthermore, he noted that Sweden was going to implement bilateral assistance programs for Armenia.

The interlocutors reflected on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the activities of the Armenia National SDG Innovation Lab.

In addition, Tigran Avinyan and Peter Eriksson discussed the opportunities for cooperation in several domains.
