YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received on Friday newly appointed US Ambassador to Armenia, Mrs. Lynne Tracy, the PM's office reported.

Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Lynne Tracy on assuming the office of U.S. Ambassador to Armenia and wished her success in her career. The PM stressed that the Armenian Government attaches great importance to the development and expansion of partnership with the United States, including in political and economic sectors. The head of the government noted that Armenia  is moving constantly toward developing and reinforcing democracy, fighting against corruption, protection of human rights, ensuring freedom of speech. In this pre-context he attached big significance to the implementation of joint projects and cooperation with the US.

Thankful for the warm welcome, Lynne Tracy noted that it is a great honor for her to meet with Prime Minister Pashinyan and reaffirm the commitment of the United States to a sovereign Armenia in the issues of democratic agenda, anti-corruption efforts, economic and regional issues, and issues of international security. Mrs. Tracy assured that during her tenure she will make all necessary efforts to contribute to the development of bilateral economic cooperation.

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed a number of issues on Armenian-American relations agenda. Nikol Pashinyan and Lynne Tracy also exchanged views on the Karabakh conflict settlement and other regional issues.
