Norway police noted that a cruise ship has suffered engine problems off Norway’s western coat, AP reported.

It was noted that over 1,300 people are being evacuated from the ship.

As the Norwegian newspaper VG reported, the Viking Sky cruise ship ran into propulsion problems as strong winds.

The police stated that the ship has managed to moor in Hustadsvika Bay, between the western Norwegian cities of Alesund and Trondheim.

Rescue teams with helicopters and boats have been sent to help and evacuate the vessel
