Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accompanied by Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan, head of administration Eduard Aghajanyan and Tavush governor Hayk Chobanyan visited Yenokavan community in Tavush province.

The PM was briefed on “Yenokovan Development Strategy 2025” project, which is targeted at development of tourism and infrastructure in the community. According to the project, it is expected to increase the annual number of tourists visiting Yenokavan from 50 thousand to 250 thousand. The project envisages attracting several million investments till 2025.

In 2018 turnover of the tourism sector in Yenokavan made $1.5 million, and it is expected that the figure will rise to $13 million by 2025.

PM Pashinyan welcomed the strategy and expressed government’s readiness to provide assistance to the implementation of investment projects within the framework of the development strategy.
