The evacuation of passengers from Viking Sky cruise ship off the western coast of Norway is over, CNN reported.

The cruise shop was stranded in seas off Norway with 1,300 passengers and crew on board.

The team gathered in a cinema and handed over orange life vests. Evacuation with helicopters continued through the night, and on Sunday the operation was joined by several rescue boats.

Rescue teams airlifted 479 people from the ship, some of them were hospitalized.  There are 436 guests and 458 crew still remaining on the ship which is safely making its way to Molde harbor, after one of the engines regained power.

The Viking Sky cruise ship suffered engine failure on Saturday afternoon.
