The German Bundestag discussed and ratified the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) on Thursday, Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Armen Ashotyan said in a live Facebook broadcast.

According to him, all the main political forces voted for the agreement. No one voted against it.

Only the Alternative for Germany party and the former Communist Party factions abstained from voting.

"Congratulations to all of us. I express my gratitude to our German colleagues, "said Ashotyan, stressing that the ratification by such an important country as Germany can be a visible political message for the parliaments of other European countries.

Ashotyan once again emphasized that the opposition and the government should work together on foreign policy issues.

In November 2017, the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement was signed between Armenia and EU.
