The current tension in the information field can lead to tension on the border very quickly. This is what Advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook page.

He particularly stated the following:

“Azerbaijan has been making sharper statements over the past ten days. The alluding statements about military operations have become threats about the launch of operations or the preparations for those operations.

There are official statements from the President’s apparatus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, circles of old and new experienced “experts” and, most importantly, press releases with titles regarding the possible restart of a war.

Azerbaijan is in a stage of preparing for military operations or repressing with the threat of military operations.

It seems as though Azerbaijan hasn’t taken the statements of the intermediary countries for preparing the peoples for peace too seriously and has launched a process that runs contrary to that.

The co-chairing countries need to take steps to alleviate the situation; otherwise, the tension in the information field will lead to tension on the border very quickly.”
