YEREVAN. – Deputy Ministers of Justice Anna Vardapetyan and Tigran Khachikyan on Monday received a delegation of judges and officials from the Italian Ministry of Justice, and which is on a two-day visit to Armenia. The delegation was led by Italian ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco.

The delegation is visiting Armenia with the objective of establishing and developing relations with the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, and within the framework of the rule-of-law cooperation that is enshrined in the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the Ministry of Justice informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Deputy Minister Vardapetyan lauded the existing cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of Armenia and Italy, and she stressed that this meeting is a good opportunity to outline new domains for the development of cooperation.

Ambassador Del Monaco also attached importance to the organization of such meetings, and he noted that they contribute to the development and deepening of cooperation.

Deputy Minister Khachikyan spoke about Armenia’s anticorruption policy, and he highlighted that the Armenian government has declared it a priority domain.

The parties touched also upon some other matters related to making their cooperation grow deeper.
