YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday congratulated the Yezidi community of Armenia on its New Year: Malaka Taus, the press office of the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The sincere friendship of the Armenian and Yezidi peoples has a history of centuries,” Pashinyan’s respective message reads, in particular. “Living side by side and sharing happiness and sorrows, we have gained an experience of cooperation, creative work, and joint struggle against common challenges.

“Malaka Taus symbolizes a new hope and the spring revival, so I wish peace, harmony and new achievements in the New Year to the benefit and prosperity of our Armenian and Yezidi compatriots.”
