Zvarnots International Airport of Yerevan and Shirak International Airport of Gyumri will be renovated. This is what Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan told journalists on 17 April.

“Renovation of the flight route at Zvartnots International Airport has already been launched, and the project for enlarging the infrastructure will be launched in Gyumri and Yerevan,” he stated.

According to the minister, Kapan Airport is also under renovation and will operate.

Arshakyan also stated that three airline companies have obtained licenses in the light aircraft sector and have purchased helicopters, one of which is being used for the Ministry of Healthcare.
