The government was supposed to have a picture of “inventory” of the to-be-reduced functions, people and positions by late March. This is what deputy of the Bright Armenia Party Mane Tandilyan said as she addressed Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan during a discussion on the package of bills on making amendments and supplements to the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the structure and activities of the Government” and related laws in parliament on 17 April.

In his turn, Minister Janjughazyan stated that the Ministry of Finance is still receiving the conclusions of government agencies and structures.

The Government of Armenia is planning on reducing the number of ministries from 17 to 12, dissolving the Ministries of Culture, Agriculture, Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, Diaspora and Youth and Sport Affairs.
