Favorable climatic and geographical conditions, rich culture, and diversity of cuisine are a good impetus for the development of rural tourism in Armenia.

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Development, Suren Papikyan, on Wednesday stated the aforesaid speaking with reporters after the official opening of Gastro Yard in Areni village.

In his words, such precedents can become one of Armenia’s tourism brands.

“Each corner of our country has its [own] peculiarity,” the minister noted.

He added that this can be a good example and inspire other rural communities.

The Gastro Yard project is funded by Russia.
