Notre Dame de Paris will not be closed after devastating fire, said French Culture Minister Franck Riester.

At the same time, the minister did not specify when Notre Dame could be open to visitors, RIA Novosti reported.

The fire broke out at around 6:30 pm Monday, and the roof, the clock and spire was damaged. According to preliminary reports, the fire started during the restoration works.
