YEREVAN. – Armenia’s parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly (NA) President Ararat Mirzoyan, and which is in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on a working visit, paid a visit to St. Katarine Armenian Church on April 19, and then toured the Armenian Sunday school and met with representatives of the local Armenian community.

Mirzoyan presented to the community the precepts and values of the velvet revolution that took place in Armenia last year, as well as the country’s priorities and challenges, the NA informed Armenian News- NEWS.am.

The Armenian parliament speaker noted that relations with the Armenian diaspora are extremely important to them, and said the position of the viewing this diaspora solely as a helping hand shall be replaced by an approach of equal partnership.

Also, the president of the National Assembly and members of the delegation responded to the questions posed by the community representatives in attendance.

On the next day, the Armenian parliament speaker-led delegation placed flowers at Komitas Monument and toured the Consulate General of Armenia in Saint Petersburg.
