Former President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev wasn’t able to attend the premiere of a documentary about him since he was hospitalized, reports TASS.
The screening of the film “Meeting Gorbachev” by Werner Herzog and Andre Singer marked the end of the 41st Moscow International Film Festival.
Earlier, the festival’s organizers had reported that Gorbachev would introduce the film himself.
In the documentary, Herzog stars as the interviewer and talks about various topics with Gorbachev.
