One person has been killed, 11 injured as a result of an attack in the Mexican resort city of Playa del Carmen., Global News reported. 

According to the source, a pair of gunmen came into a bar and opened fire with pistols.

The state of Quintana Roo’s Tourism Promotion Council noted that none of the people shot were tourists. Its statement said initial reports suggested the attack stemmed from a dispute between criminal elements.
