At least 14 people were killed, another 150 people were injured in a bomb placed in a car at a police post in Kabul, BBC News reported. 

The Taliban Islamist movement claimed responsibility for the explosion: the incident occurred during the peace talks with the United States.

Both sides previously announced significant progress in the talks aimed at gaining peace in the country after 18 years of war.

The Taliban said the bombing was aimed at a ‘recruitment’ center.  Police officers and military personnel were killed as a result of an accident.
