Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze has declared that the actions of the Georgian government serve as a basis to say that Georgia will definitely restore the growing dynamics of the tourism sector, as reported Interpressnews.

According to him, based on the data provided in July, the damage in the tourism sector comprised up to USD 60,000,000, but in June, “a great trend was recorded” in Ajaria (tourism grew by 40% compared to the same period of the previous year).

“Today, we need to support and assist small and medium businesses in the tourism sector. We have developed two programs that, I believe, are sufficient to help small and medium entrepreneurs. As far as the medium-term perspective is concerned, I am certain that we will restore the positive dynamics that Georgia had in the tourism sector,” the Prime Minister stated.
