I don’t rule out my active participation in the elections. Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), Masis Mayilian, noted this in a Facebook post.

“I follow as much as possible the Artsakh internal political developments and the situation in connection with the forthcoming LSGB [local self-government body] and national elections,” he wrote, in particular. “I find that an exceptional opportunity has been created [in Artsakh] for the holding of exemplary elections, and I’m ready to contribute with everything for the creation of a more favorable diplomatic climate around these elections.

“Also, I can’t disregard the numerous questions and inquiries from the Republic of Artsakh, the Republic of Armenia and, the [Armenian] Diaspora on the format of my participation in the national elections.

“I regularly follow the manifestations of public opinion, the people’s desires and moods, and will strive to be most useful in fulfilling those desires. Therefore, and in essence, I don’t rule out my active participation in the elections.”
