YEREVAN. – The Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, had a telephonic conversation with Claire Meytraud, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation to Armenia, on the guaranteeing of the rights of military serviceman Arayik Ghazaryan, who has ended up in Azerbaijan. Public relations department of the Ombudsman’s office told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Meytraud informed that the ICRC representatives have not yet visited Ghazaryan, but the matter is at the focus of their attention.

The Human Rights Defender’s staff is also in touch with Arayik Ghazaryan’s family.

Tatoyan will petition to relevant international organizations in connection with the guaranteeing of this soldier’s rights, including his health.
