YEREVAN. – More violations were detected during the seven months of 2019 than in 2018, albeit more measures were taken during the seven months of 2018. Deputy chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, Edvard Hovhannisyan, stated this at a press conference on Tuesday.

He added that there are violations also in connection with activities within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union—which comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The official assured that the SRC treats all companies the same way, but it responds appropriately if an organization attempts to operate in the former way.

And when asked what phase the project of building a new customs house in Gyumri was at, Hovhannisyan informed that the Armenian government has earmarked a total of 2.2bn drams for this project, and 966mn drams have already been allocated.
