At the invitation of Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan, from August 12 to 13, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev is on a visit to Armenia and met with Armen Grigoryan yesterday, as reported the Office of the Security Council.

The parties exchanged views on the enhancement of the strategic and federal ties between Russia and Armenia, the expansion of cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the use of new opportunities and discussed the regulation of the sale of weapons to third countries.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the current military-technical and military-economic cooperation and attached importance to intensification of cooperation in the military production sector and the need for the establishment of new enterprises.

During the visit, Nikolai Patrushev was received by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, after which Grigoryan and Patrushev laid flowers near the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
