Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan received today outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic Gonzalo Urriolabeitia, as reported the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia.

During the meeting, Ambassador Urriolabeitia presented the results of his work in the sectors of education and culture, particularly the teaching of Spanish and the conduct of international tests that check knowledge of Spanish at Armenia’s educational institutions, training courses and reciprocal visits of professionals, translations of books, the creation of Argentine tango festivals and Argentine cultural centers in Armenia and more.

Minister Arayik Harutyunyan said the Ambassador’s work in Armenia is impressive and that the Ambassador has laid a strong foundation for the strengthening of relations between Armenia and Argentina.

Ambassador Gonzalo Urriolabeitia talked about the opportunity for the use of Argentina’s experience in the inclusive education sector and the implementation of programs for young people of Armenia to study and work in Argentina.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Gonzalo Urriolabeitia invited Minister Arayik Harutyunyan to the opening of the Square of the Argentine Republic in Yerevan.
