Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani may visit France at the invitation of his colleague, said the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi.

According to him, Iran welcomes friendly decisions as contacts were established between the presidents of Iran and France, Mehr reported.

There is the possibility of a visit by Rouhani to France, and we will let you know if it takes place, he added.

Iran always leaves the door open for talks and seeks to expand bilateral and regional cooperation to reduce tensions; we want peace.

Earlier, the Al-Monitor newspaper, citing anonymous sources, reported that Rouhani rejected the invitation of the French president to attend the G7 summit in France on August 24 and possibly hold a meeting with the US president.
