Residents of Wellington from New Zealand are horrified by the giant hand statue with a face on the roof of an art gallery in the city, CNN reported

The sculpture, about 5 meters high, called ‘Quasi’, was created in 2016 by artist Ronnie van Host in memory of the famous character Quasimodo from the book Notre Dame de Paris by French classic writer Victor Hugo and was installed on the roof of the gallery on Monday with a helicopter.

The sculpture was originally installed on the roof of the Christchurch Art Gallery.

Residents of the country called the work disgusting and outrageous, some twitter users said that the sculpture resembles a revived nightmare.
