Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday received outgoing Head of the European Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski, as reported the news service of the Government of Armenia.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated Ambassador’s Switalski’s diplomatic service for enhancement of the relations between Armenia and the European Union and attached importance to his active involvement in the democratic processes in Armenia. “Armenia considers you a friend of Armenia, Armenia’s democracy, the Government of Armenia and the Armenian people. After the revolution, the agenda of the EU-Armenia relations is remarkable, that is, the EU is a reliable and key partner for Armenia and for the reforms in the country, and I am certain that the bilateral partnership will become more and more effective,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

EU Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Switalski expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the high appreciation and stated that it was a great honor for him to perform his diplomatic service in Armenia. “The EU also believes the cooperation with Armenia is effective and important, and it will continue to assist Armenia in moving forward and implementing the reforms successfully,” Piotr Switalski stated.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the EU-Armenia cooperation agenda and touched upon the dynamics of the development of bilateral ties, joint projects and initiatives following the velvet revolution.
