Iraqi security services report that three people were killed and 34 injured in an explosion of a motorcycle full of explosives near a Shiite mosque, Associated Press reported.

Authorities said Saturday that the explosion occurred the previous night on a busy street in the village of Musayyib.

ISIS claimed the responsibility for the attack. At the end of 2017, Iraq declared victory over ISIS, but the remaining terrorist groups continue to carry out attacks, especially in the north of the country.

The Iraqi Armed Forces have announced that they are launching a new operation to seek shelter for members of the Islamic State in Anbar province.
