YEREVAN. – Armenian Ambassador Ashot Smbatyan on Tuesday paid a working visit to Bavaria federal state of Germany.

The diplomat was received by State Secretary  Roland Weigert, Vice Minister in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed the development of economic ties between Armenia and Bavaria—in particular, the deepening of cooperation in tourism and winemaking, and the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) 2019 which Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan will host in October.

On the same day, Ambassador Smbatyan met also with Mayor Dieter Reiter of Munich.

They touched upon the programs that are envisaged within the framework of bilateral cultural cooperation.
