The number of aftershocks of the earthquake has dropped considerably. Tigran Petrosyan, Governor of Shirak Province of Armenia, noted about this in a Facebook post.

“We have had two minor [after]shocks at the same epicenter overnight,” he wrote. “And the number of aftershocks has considerably decreased, which, according to experts’ assessment, is a stable situation and shows that the energy of the [quake’s] epicenter is being released in such a way.”

As reported earlier, an earthquake was recorded Tuesday at 8:22pm near the Armenia-Georgia border, 13km northeast of Bavra village in Shirak Province of Armenia.
