Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Masis Mayilyan on Wednesday received the delegation of deputies of the French National Assembly and Senate led by President of the France-Artsakh Friendship Circle Gi Tesi, as reported the news service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh.

The foreign minister greeted the French parliamentarians and attached importance to their visit from the perspective of becoming familiar with the current state of affairs in Artsakh and the development of the friendly ties between the two nations.

Masis Mayilyan touched upon nation-building in Artsakh and the democratic developments taking place, particularly the recent local self-government elections.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon the achievements made in bilateral ties, as well as the challenges and the opportunities to resist them. They also stated that Artsakh needs to enhance its international ties and that it is important for citizens to exercise their fundamental rights and freedoms without facing any obstacles.

Masis Mayilyan underscored the need to work twice as hard for parliamentary diplomacy and the enhancement of decentralized cooperation and, in this context, the foreign minister attached importance to the pivotal role of the France-Artsakh Friendship Circle.
