YEREVAN. – At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the government of Armenia confirmed the 2019 cost estimate for the off-budget funds for the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) grant program for the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

The estimate will total 501 million drams (approx. US$1,056,100).

The argument for the respective decision states that the objective of this program is to ensure the participation of Armenia’s academic, scientific and technological organizations’, institutions of higher education, and of legal entities, in general, in the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union (EU)—and as representatives of an associated country; that is, having the same rights as those of the organizations of the EU member countries.
