Degraded land restoration program to be implemented in Armenia jointly developed by the Ministry of Environment and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). During a working consultation at the Ministry of the Environment, members of the FAO mission, who arrived in our country, discussed with the representatives of Armenian state bodies, regional structures and scientific institutions the project concept paper.

Armenian experts advised FAO experts to prioritize the geographical features and rich biodiversity of Armenia during the development of the project, and presented their considerations for enhancing the effectiveness of the project. The project development team expressed its readiness to finalize the project application within a short period of time and submit it to the Global Environmental Fund.
