Armenia’s former MP, businessman Khachik Manukyan, passed away Friday at the age of 60. Sargis Avetisyan, the prefect of Manukyan’s native village of Mastara, told about this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Avetisyan noted that Manukyan had died of lung cancer.

He had undergone treatment in Germany, Georgia, and Armenia in recent years.

Manukyan was a National Assembly (NA) MP, from 2003 to 2012.

He was also elected as a member of the 6th NA from the Tsarukyan bloc, but he had given up his parliamentary seat.
