Mr. Vanetsyan affirmed that he hadn’t written the text of his resignation alone. This is what Spokesperson of the Prime Minister of Armenia Vladimir Karapetyan said today, touching upon the statement issued by former director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan and the coarse response that Karapetyan gave to the statement.

When asked whom he was referring to when he said “We hope the author of the text is not someone from a PR office of corrupt officials who have “erroneously” avoided criminal liability”, Karapetyan said the following: “Vanetsyan gave clarifications the next day. The Prime Minister was hinting that there is mutual consent, and I think both the Prime Minister and his cabinet were surprised when they read the statement by Vanetsyan.”

As reported earlier, in response to the statement by Artur Vanetsyan who has resigned, Vladimir Karapetyan urged him not to lose the dignity of an officer to which he was referring to in his resignation.

“It is necessary to find out who wrote the text ascribed to Artur Vanetsyan. We hope the author of the text is not someone from a PR office of corrupt officials who have “erroneously” avoided criminal liability. We urge General Vanetsyan not to lose the dignity of an officer to which he makes a reference,” Karapetyan said.
