The number of beneficiaries who are entitled to debit debts for VAT far exceeds declared figure, said MP from Bright Armenia opposition party Mane Tandilian, referring to the chair of the State Revenue Committee David Ananyan.

According to Tandilyan, at that time it was said that the money would be returned to 9 thousand beneficiaries, and Ananyan at today's parliamentary meeting presented completely different figures, significantly underestimating them.

Then David Ananyan explained that the figure of 9,000 beneficiaries concerns a different issue and is not related to the topic under discussion.

The official’s response did not satisfy and did not convince Tandilyan, who recalled that the prime minister had in mind payments that relied on debit debts for VAT

During an extraordinary meeting of the Armenian parliament, Ananyan noted that the Government of Armenia plans to return debit debts for VAT in the amount of AMD 56 billion to a total of 2571 taxpayers by the end of this year.
