The Khachaturyan sisters don’t attend classes, are preparing for the trial and are in need of psychological support. This is what Deputy Head of the Public Oversight Commission of Moscow Eva Merkacheva announced, reports RIA Novosti.

“The Khachaturyan sisters don’t attend classes, are preparing for the trial and have become familiar with the case materials. After examining the materials, they are in dire condition and in need of psychological support. It is painful that they became familiar with the case materials without the presence of a psychologist,” she said.

According to Merkacheva, the younger sister won’t be punished since she was declared irresponsible at the moment of committal of the crime, the elder sister hadn’t caused harm, and the other sister, based on the expert examination, was exposed to violence more than the other sisters.

“The father had told her that she would replace her mother, become his wife and have children. I believe the court will take all this into consideration,” Merkacheva said.

The murder, which became highly resonant, was committed on July 27, 2018. Based on the examination, the three sisters killed their 57-year-old father in their apartment located at Altufev Highway in Moscow. At the moment of the crime, the sisters were 17, 18 and 19 years old. In June 2019, they were charged with murder committed following a premeditated conspiracy. In August, investigators confirmed that Mikhail Khachaturyan had used violence against the girls.
