Russian State Duma held a joint meeting of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the Armenian parliament and the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and on Affairs of Compatriots of the Russian State Duma, the head of the Armenian delegation, deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia from the Prosperous Armenia Party, chair of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Mikayel Melkumyan

According to him, during the meeting, many issues were discussed, such as the sale of arms by CSTO member states to states having problems with one of the CSTO member states.

“In this context, we paid special attention to the sale of arms to Azerbaijan, expressing our concern about this fact,” Melkumyan noted adding that the Russian side listened to its Armenian colleagues and took into account their concern.

According to Melkumyan, this issue will be discussed during upcoming meetings within the framework of the CSTO.

Melkumyan said that at the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two committees.
